We take our standard cable fence deleting the center two cables then add a piece of 2 7/8 or 2 3/8 pipe. This pipe is clipped on to the 2 7/8 line post with a 5/8 diameter cold roll clip that is welded on both sides of the post thus giving the clip the ability to slip and not catch and break. There is some debate about the benefits of this fence, but livestock tend to see the hip rail better than plain cable.
